Week 16

Week 16 starts in 2 hours and 10 minutes. I hope you are all ready for the test today. Last week, I said I would put the abbreviations of every team playing that day. And you guys need to comment me after you've solved it with answers. Hit me with your best shot!

Sunday's games

1:00 P.M. games.
Oak @ Car, No @ Dal, Ten @ Gb, Min @ Hou, Ne, @ Jac, Ind @ Kc, Buf @Mia, Sd @ Nyj, Was @ Phi, Cin @ Pit, Stl @ Tb.
4:00 P.M. games.

8:20 P.M. game

No Monday Night Football. Christmas Eve, sorry.

I'm not going to say the game every one's talking about this week because you all will know the team name. Alright! You read the post. Who's who? Again I say: Hit me with your best shot!

Monday, December 17, 2012

Correction

I just decided city names will be too easy. Instead, let's make it harder. You have to translate the abbreviations of the teams. For example: Den @ BAL ( Denver Broncos @ BALTIMORE RAVENS ). You will know the Ravens' abbreviations because it will be in Purple, and it will be Bold, Italic, and underlined. If you want to see the abbreviations, go to NFL.com and when it opens, there should be a line of abbreviations. Good luck

Guessing game

Everyone, next week I'll only put down the city names, and you guys have to get the team names. You have to comment me in the exact order I put the city names. Give me your best shot.

Week 15

The game (should I say gameS?) every one's talking about this week: #1. Packers @ Bears. The #1 top rivalry in the NFL. Every one's saying Packers since Bears QB Jay Cutler is out with an injury, and so is star linebacker Brian Urlacher. #2. Broncos @ Ravens. Well not the entire team, just the quarterback: Peyton Manning. In his entire career, Manning has never lost to Baltimore. Ray Lewis is back for the Ravens, so our Defense is in full swing. I also have more news. You May have heard about the Sandy Hook Elementry school shooting. Well everywhere, NFL stadiums will be having a moment of silence for the 26 that lost their lives. Giants WR, Victor Cruz will be honoring a young fan who died in the shooting. His name was Jack Pinto. He was 6 years old, but anyhow, here is a story I just found. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000111532/article/victor-cruz-to-honor-victim-of-sandy-hook-shooting. The whole Giants team will be wearing S.H.E.S on the back of their helmets. That's all for this week!

The game every one's talking about this week: Ravens @ Chargers. In last year's meeting, the Chargers crushed the Ravens 34-14, with help from Antwan Barnes (Chargers ROLB) Joe Flacco was sacked 5 times. But this year, the Chargers D has more help from LOLB Jarret Johnson, who was traded from the Ravens to the Chargers in the Summer meetings. I have a link here, well actually two links from baltimoreravens.com and chargers.com. Both news about "Double J" playing his old team. Here is the link from the Ravens website: http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Battling-Jarret-Johnson-Will-Be-Really-Weird/ee9518c5-ce3c-46d5-8fee-d8d1e0bf07fa. And from the Chargers website: http://www.chargers.com/news/article-1/Jarret-Johnson-Id-Be-Lying-if-I-Said-I-Didnt-Want-this-One-Badly/6df468c4-3310-49e1-a029-090fe3221e30. It's payback day for the Ravens! GO RAVENS!!!

Thanksgiving day football games

The Thanksgiving day football games start in an hour. Here are the games

12:30 P.M. game
Houston Texans @ Detroit Lions.
4:00 P.M. game
Washington Redskins @ Dallas Cowboys.

The game every one's talking about today: Patriots @ Jets. A killer division matchup. Every time these two teams play, it's usually a bloodbath. I suppose you would like to know the history of the Thanksgiving football game. Well in 1934 the Detroit Lions hosted the first Thanksgiving game against the Chicago Bears. They lost. Then in 1960 the Dallas Cowboys played an annual Thanksgiving game. Then there would be two teams that played on the same day. So happy Thanksgiving!

The Lions/49ers game is going to be a coaches battle. Last year when these teams met, 49ers coach, Jim Harbaugh (brother of Ravens coach John Harbaugh) didn't shake hands with Lions coach Jim Schwartz. And Schwartz had to make a big deal about. He started chasing Harbaugh and both  teams tried to protect their coaches, but Harbaugh didn't shake his hand. Let's hope it goes better this time!

No way

I don't believe it, but the Packers won! The final was 23-10. Rodgers got off to a hard start, got sacked a couple times, but the Packers D was unstoppable. There were 4 interceptions for the Packers and I think two touchdowns. I think it was just luck for the Pack-men. Well the Packers sent them Packing. HA HA!
